Congratulations to Miles Klapper '22 and the University of Idaho Vandals on their historic qualification for the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
Miles, a standout basketball player under Coach
Chuck Rapp during his time at Serra, was a vital part of the Idaho Vandals squad that captured the Big Sky Conference Championship with a 77-66 victory over Montana on March 11. This marks Idaho's first trip to March Madness in 36 years.
During his senior season at Serra, Miles was a WCAL First Team All-League selection and a team captain. He carried that leadership and standard of excellence—a hallmark of Coach Rapp's programs—to the collegiate level. This season, as a redshirt sophomore guard, Miles has appeared in 25 games for the Vandals, contributing to a remarkable run that saw the #7-seeded Idaho team upset the #2, #3, and #4 seeds to secure their automatic bid.
The #15 seed Vandals are now set to take on the #2 seed Houston Cougars in the South Region. The game will be broadcast live from Oklahoma City this Thursday, March 19.
Congratulations, Miles! We'll be watching and cheering you on as you represent the Jungle on the national stage!
