Congratulations to Nate Coughlin '24 for being named soccer Player of the Week by Cal-Hi Sports. Coughlin will play soccer at Bucknell University when he graduates from Serra.. Fueled by Coughlin's prolific scoring pace, the Padres finished off their non-league, preseason schedule with an impressive 4-1-1 record. The senior striker scored in each six of those games. He totaled three goals through Serra's two games last week, converting one in a 2-2 draw on New Year's Eve day at undefeated Mountain View. The Padres returned to the pitch four days later to claim a 3-0 win over Woodside, backed by Coughlin's two goals. He now has eight on the season, tied for third in the Central Coast Section among teams that report statistics to MaxPreps.com.
